Iota Services, the technology division of South East Water approached Visua to assist in developing the name and branding for a new product which monitors and manages water services. The digital water meter measures water usage, monitors water pressure and can detect faults, such as leaks, to mention just a few of the features.
The new name ‘Cura’ comes from the Latin words ‘Cura’ meaning to care and ‘Curo’ meaning to care for by watching. The name encapsulates not only the function of a digital water meter but more importantly, the passion and degree of care shown by all those involved in making the Cura Digital Water Meter a reality.
The Cura brand identity has been designed to convey a sense of both water and technology in harmony. The logo’s three dimensional appearance is formed by the transparent effect of the letter ‘C’, in the form of a water droplet. The Cura name and logo embody Iota Services’ desired product values of care, attention to detail, and advancement of state-of-the-art technology solutions for their clients.
