Visua has been collaborating closely with Taylor Reynolds Architects for more than a decade, having designed their initial brand identity in 2010, when the business was first formed by Lauren Taylor and Jeremy Reynolds. Then the brand identity was an expression of ‘place’, influenced by the urban environment in which the office is located and the stencil art of the surrounding streets and laneways. That idea is still at the core of Taylor Reynolds’ brand story, however as aesthetics and technologies evolve so must a brand.

Visua’s new brand identity for Taylor Reynolds Architects draws its inspiration from the idea of ‘simplicity of form’, a concept which adopts a minimalist approach, paring back typography to the most basic of geometric shapes. Architecture is a delicate balance between form and function. This principle was Visua’s main focus in designing and implementing the new brand across both print and digital applications.

As demonstrated below, the brand identity is flexible in its composition, allowing it to playfully work in both horizontal and vertical formats. As part of the roll-out of the new brand, a portfolio-style website was developed to showcase the business’ diverse range of commercial and residential projects.
