Tecvantedge
Starting a business can be an exciting but daunting task for any owner. Where do you start and how do you establish a brand? Like many in the start-up phase, IT solutions business ‘Tecvantedge’ faced these challenges. Based in Melbourne, Tecvantedge was formed in 2013 by a team of Senior IT Professionals, and has since rapidly expanded services into Sydney and Canberra. It is a fresh and dynamic organisation that encompasses innovative, flexible and adaptive IT solutions.
Visua worked closely with the two directors, establishing a brand strategy that not only reflected the company’s core values, but also laid the foundations for a symbiotic connection with their clients. It was ‘connection’ which became the basis of the design brief. The challenge – how to depict the idea of connections between objects and people, and how these connect in many different ways.
The resulting Tecvantedge brand identity is formed by utilising the standard shapes or ‘tans’ of the ancient Chinese puzzle, the Tangram. The Tangram puzzle itself symbolises complex problem solving, while the intersecting lines formed by the edges of the shapes are a reference to connection and networking. This connection / intersection forms the key element of the brand’s visual language. The configuration of the logo’s shapes form the letter ‘T’ with the subliminal letter ‘i’ intersecting it diagonally.
